Galgotias University was established in 2011, in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It is sponsored by Smt. Shakuntala Educational and Welfare Society It is approved by BCI, PCI, COA, and NCTE. It is also accredited by the NBA and graded ‘A+’ by NAAC. In 2024, Galgotias University Ranking by NIRF was 101-150 out of 200 colleges in the overall category.

Galgotias University offers BTech which is among the popular courses. To be eligible, candidates must secure 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics along with either Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Technical Vocational Subjects in Class XIIth. For admission to other BTech disciplines, the minimum requirement is 50% in class XII. The final selection will be based on CUET or JEE Main scores. Galgotias University fees for BTech range from INR 4.83 Lakhs to INR 6.99 Lakhs, based on the specialisations.
